Step 1: Make the Dough

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour, salt, and olive oil.
  3. Mix and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 5–7 minutes).
  4. Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.

Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, mix tomato puree, oregano, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and sugar.
  2. Adjust to taste and set aside.

Step 3: Preheat the Oven

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F) .
  2. Place a baking tray or pizza stone inside to heat.

Step 4: Roll the Dough

  1. Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a circle or rectangle (½ cm thick).
  2. Transfer to parchment paper or a greased tray.

Step 5: Assemble the Pizza

  1. Spread a thin layer of sauce over the dough.
  2. Add shredded mozzarella cheese.
  3. Add your favorite toppings (don't overload).
  4. Sprinkle with a bit of olive oil or herbs if desired.

Step 6: Bake

  1. Carefully transfer pizza to the hot oven (on tray or stone).
  2. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.

Step 7: Serve

  1. Let it cool for 2 minutes.
  2. Slice and enjoy with sauces or dips
