Pizza Recipe
For the Dough (makes 1 medium pizza):
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp instant dry yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ¾ cup warm water (not hot)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (plus more for greasing)
For the Sauce:
- ½ cup canned tomato puree / crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- ½ tsp garlic powder (or fresh minced garlic)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp sugar (optional, to reduce acidity)
Toppings (customizable):
- 1 to 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Pepperoni / ham / cooked chicken / mushrooms / onions / olives /
peppers
- Fresh basil (optional)
- Extra cheese like cheddar or parmesan (optional)

Step 1: Make the Dough

In a mixing bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for
5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add flour, salt, and olive oil.

Mix and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic (about 5–7
minutes).

Cover with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or
until doubled in size.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, mix tomato puree, oregano, garlic powder, salt,
pepper, and sugar.
- Adjust to taste and set aside.
Step 3: Preheat the Oven
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (430°F) .
- Place a baking tray or pizza stone inside to heat.
Step 4: Roll the Dough

Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a circle or rectangle
(½ cm thick).
- Transfer to parchment paper or a greased tray.
Step 5: Assemble the Pizza
- Spread a thin layer of sauce over the dough.
- Add shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Add your favorite toppings (don't overload).
- Sprinkle with a bit of olive oil or herbs if desired.
Step 6: Bake
- Carefully transfer pizza to the hot oven (on tray or stone).

Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
Step 7: Serve
- Let it cool for 2 minutes.
- Slice and enjoy with sauces or dips
